Fundraising

 

The Candian Deafblind Assocation of BC (CDBA BC) gets generous support from the Ministry of Children and Family Development, but is dependant on donations and fundraisers to produce funds for non-ministry sponsored programs.

 

Greeting Cards-Virtues Promoting Diversity

 

Virtues Promoting Diversity is an artwork project that was created by the Grade 7, Div. 1 class at Armstrong Elementary in Burnaby, BC in May, 2006.  Jeffrey is a young deafblind man who was in that class. His unique was of communicating and learning created much dialogue and lead to the creation of this project.  Each student illustrated a virtue word of their choosing using sign language to create 27 beautiful images.  We chose 10 to create into greeting cards.  Each pack of greeting cards comes with 10 cards with different images and 10 envelopes with variously coloured handprints.
